Parking Lot Attendant

Position Title:    Parking Lot Attendant                                    Reports to: PL Supervisor

Classification:   Summer/Winter Seasonal

Schedule: Full Time – 4 or more days a week

Positions dealing with children or positions that handle cash require a background check. Employment is contingent upon a favorable background check.

 

Job Summary:                  

This position is responsible for maintaining passenger safety from pickup to drop off and back. Safety is priority. Talking to guests on PA system parking cars when necessary, shoveling snow off shuttles and when necessary. Helping guests with stuck or stalled cars. Keep shuttles clean and free of debris. Stand or drive for long periods of time in all weather conditions.

 

Essential Job Functions

*Reliable attendance on all scheduled work days, even snow days

* Able to drive shuttles all day if necessary.

*Able to park

*Maintain trucks and shuttles in good working order. (check brake lights, tires, fuel etc.

*Assist in snow removal in parking lots via operation of back hoe, front end loader, snow plow, ect.

*Put snow chains on trucks when needed.

*Keep trucks clean and shovel snow off shuttles.

*Alert to and aware of potential dangerous situations on roads and or in pedestrian lanes.

*Communicate with supervisor and co-workers via hand held and truck radios.

*Aware of safety and security policies and procedures as related to self, guests co-workers, and property.

*Assist guests and employees in parking uniformly and efficiently.

*Keep parking area and parking shack clean, neat, and free of debris.

*Assist guests with stuck or stalled cars.

*Answer guests questions with patience and pleasantness.

*Control shuttle loading and unloading.

*Other tasks as assigned

 

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required

CDL license

Clean driving record

Previous experience with heavy equipment

Pre-employment drug test

Transportation

Reliable and dependable (even on snow days)

Communication

Good Communication skills and willingness to learn info about ski area

Guest Services

Previous customer service skills
